Hi, I’m Cynthia Siadat :)
I’m a proud second-generation Filipina-American Queer Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CA #76525). I acknowledge and am grateful that I am inhabiting, living and working on Tongva land - for this gift, I offer Land Tax to support rematriation of land to the Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa (pronounced Tar-a-haht pah-hava) Conservancy.
As a clinician, I am passionate about serving those who serve others and have a habit of forgetting about themselves. I know what that’s like and I learned the hard way that not only is there no way of permanently getting rid of these difficult thoughts & emotions; it’s also unsustainable! I’ve found empowerment for myself and my clients in cultivating a deep-down-in-their-bones understanding that there’s only
a choice: to learn how to live fully with them.
I received my graduate training at Columbia University School of Social Work and I have been working with individuals and groups since 2006. I’m currently in an interfaith ministry doctoral program studying the overlap of my work as a therapist & my cultural influences as
a Filipina-American.
I am certified to treat trauma, compassion fatigue, and grief.
I offer individual and group support for those in caregiving roles.
You can see some of my insights featured on mindbodygreen & Forbes.
I want you to know that you are not alone nor do you have to go through this alone. You are so deserving of that love and care you so generously give to others.
