Hi, I’m Cynthia Siadat :)
I’m a queer second-generation Filipina-American Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CA #76525; NY 083721-1). I acknowledge and am grateful that I am inhabiting, living and working on Tongva land - for this gift, I offer Land Tax to support rematriation of land to the Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa (pronounced Tar-a-haht pah-hava) Conservancy.
I am committed to serving adults who care for their loved ones. I received my graduate training at Columbia University School of Social Work where I focused on Contemporary Social Issues from a Spiritual and Group Work approach. I love the work I do and have been in the mental health field for over 16 years working with individuals, groups, and organizations.
My approach incorporates my clinical expertise and training as well my own spirituality, lived experience, & my filipino upbringing. You can see some of my insights featured on mindbodygreen & Forbes. I have presented to corporate and governmental organizations like the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles, Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA), Plenty and Motorola.
I am currently fine-tuning my healing offerings in my doctorate of interfaith ministry program and am exploring the practical application of the beautiful filipinx gift of “Kapwa” (shared inner-self) to help address mental illness, loneliness and trauma.
I want you to know that you are not alone nor do you have to go through this alone. You are so deserving of that love and care you so generously give to others.
